A vintage limited edition porcelain sculpture, Prothonotary Warbler by Boehm. This lifelike piece presents the yellow bird in flight, mounted on a branch over flowering daffodils and pussy willows on a rocky base, sculpted in delicate detail and finished in vibrant colors. The work is signed to the edge of the base, with the Boehm maker’s mark, title and model number 40335 to the underside. The piece is dated 1988 and marked 3 in a limited edition. Examples of this piece are also found in Bellingrath Gardens, the Dellchamps Gallery of Boehm Porcelain, Theodore, AL.
