Collection of Lithographs After Giovanni Piranesi Etchings of Roman Monuments

A collection of three lithographs after etchings on paper of Roman monuments by listed, Italian artist Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1778), originally created circa 1748-1768. These prints depict famous Roman monuments including the Pantheon and the Colosseum. They are titled Veduta interna del Panteon volgarmente detto la Rotunda, Veduta dell’ Anfiteatro Flavio, detto il Colosseo, and _ Veduta della Basilica di S. Paolo fuor delle mura, etetta da Constantino Magno_. All are signed and titled in plate to the bottom margin. All prints are presented loose without mat or frame.
Condition
- fraying and wear to paper; toning and foxing; vertical crease down the center of each print two of which are taped to the verso; advanced rips and tears; marks and smudges.
Dimensions
- all sheets measure; largest image measures 27.25" W x 16" H; smallest image measures 24" W x 14.75" H.
