A prehistoric stone mano and metate. The tools are made of stone, including a roughly circular slab of granite or other hard stone, and an oval mano of the same type of stone, with a somewhat flat bottom. The metate and mano were used by indigenous peoples to grind corn and other grains. There is no provenance for this item and the period and culture are not known.
