Item Details
An oil painting on canvas board of a beach scene by listed contemporary Australian artist Donald Fraser (active 1980-90s). This work, rendered with painterly brushstrokes, depicts figures frolicking along an ocean shore and two distant sailboats gliding across vivid blue waters. It is signed by hand to the lower left corner. The painting is presented without glass in a gold tone wood and gesso frame, without hanging hardware.
Condition
- to fair; surface wear and residue to composition; some warping to canvas board; chips and nicks to frame; wear throughout frame’s finish; discoloration to the verso; no hanging hardware present.
