Beppe Grimani Still Life Oil Painting on Canvas "Florals"

A mid to late 20th century oil painting on canvas by listed Italian artist Beppe Grimani (1911 – 1998) titled Florals. The still life work depicts a vase of multicolored flowers rendered in rich hues of pink, crimson, periwinkle and purple, and accented with textured areas of impasto. The work is signed ‘Grimani’ in black paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame with raised foliate motifs to the edges, fitted with hanging wire to the verso. The frame backing includes labels from The W.T. Burger Co. with information about the artist.
Condition
- to Fair; droplet marks to upper center; uneven varnish coating over canvas with uncoated sections to upper left and right; wear to edges of canvas; discoloration to canvas and verso; discoloration, scuffing, marks and wear throughout frame; toning to canvas verso; backing paper does not cover canvas.
