Item Details
An oil painting on canvas by Chicago artist Christl Hansen (1924-2007). This piece depicts a young girl seated on a ledge and tying one of her shoes. She has dark hair with a crown of blue flowers in it and is wearing a white dress. The piece is painted over a textured gesso layer on the base canvas. It is signed to the lower right and presented in a wood frame with scrolling molded details and wire to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- cracks in gesso layer; chip to inner edge of frame at lower right; other surface wear to frame.
