Item Details
An original oil painting on canvas of a man smoking a pipe by W. Dawson. This painted portrait depicts an elderly man with full beard an curly grey hair smoking a pipe. The figure is rendered in painterly brush strokes in front of a mottled impasto background. The work is signed ‘W. Dawson’ in the lower right. It is presented in a gold tone wood and gesso frame with a canvas liner. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.
