A pairing of circa 1960s vintage mesh coin purses. The selection includes a gold tone metal mesh coin purse by Whiting and Davis featuring a gold tone hinge frame and kiss lock closure and an orange and yellow stripe fabric interior, which has been added after market. The interior of the frame is hallmarked ‘Made in USA’, ‘Whiting & Davis Co.’ and ‘2684’. The selection also includes a black enameled metal mesh coin purse with a gold tone hinge frame and kiss lock closure, a fabric lined interior and a hallmark reading ‘Made in Belgium’.
Condition
- some tarnishing to metal, seams coming undone on gold one, interior stripe fabric has been added by hand sewing
