18th c. Creamware Bowl

Item Details

A magnificent example of late 18th century Creamware in this oval pierced bowl with matching under-plate. Made popular by Josiah Wedgwood (English 1735- 1795), this pottery piece has open ribbed sides with a charming pattern at the upper edge, mimicked in the matching under-plate. The bowl enjoys looped handles at each side.

Condition

The underplate is in pristine condition while the bowl has a 1" hairline crack at the upper rim that is very faint and is barely noticeable. The bowl displays gorgeously.

Dimensions

Bowl measures 4.5" high at the handles x 9" wide x 5.5" deep. Platter is 9.5 " x 7.5"
