An original vintage oil painting on canvas by listed 20th century artist Gustav Pynaert. The painting depicts a trio of stout stone buildings, seemingly Dutch, standing along the banks of a flat, reflective body of water. The water is lined with autumnal foliage, and a small wooden fishing boat flats at its banks. The painting is signed in brown to the lower left. It is presented in a stunning wooden frame with carved embellishments, gold tone finish, and a hanging wire attached to the verso.
Condition
- cracking across painting’s surface. Painting seems to have yellowed slightly with age. It seems the canvas was not prepared properly, allowing pinholes of light to pass through in some areas of cracking.
