Item Details

An oil painting on canvas by listed Argentinian artist John Lugano (born 1948). This Impressionist style painting depicts a Belle Époque era Parisian river scene. Groups of pedestrians stroll on the riverside walkway in the afternoon light. A French flag is raised to the center of the composition and the Eiffel tower is visible in the distance. It is signed by the artist to the lower right. Presented in a gold tone wood frame with applied gesso detail and beige linen and gold tone liners. A wire hanger is present to the verso.

Condition

- extensive damage to frame to upper right corner. Chips to frame to lower right. Stains to linen liner.
