An ornate bone and ebony inlay western Chinese rawap instrument with wood tuning pegs and neck, extensive ornate bone and ebony inlay, a curved headstock and a long fretted neck with a winged appendage at the base of neck and an inlaid harp style medallion to the center. The piece features a python snakeskin head similar in style to that of the membrane-like head on a banjo. The pot of the instrument features a rounded bottom with bone and ebony inlay and designs in relief. A pick and wooden box with lock are included.
