Ink Wash
A pair of Mark Trail comic pages, rendered with ink on paperboard and marked with the name of creator Ed Dodd (1902-1991), though likely drawn by cartoonist Jack Elrod (1924-2016). Mark Trail was an environmentally-themed newspaper comic which focused on the adventures of the titular photojournalist Mark Trail. These comics feature a detailed report on the skills of bloodhounds and the hibernation of black bears, and are dated ‘4-15-79’ and ‘4-8-79’ toward their lower edge. They are presented under glass in black frames with wires for hanging.
