1911 Birmingham Smith & Bartlam Sterling Silver Matchstick Case

Item Details

A 1911 Birmingham sterling silver matchstick case by Smith & Bartlam. This case features a strike bar on bottom with hinged lid, with a gold wash on the inside of the lid, with Birmingham hallmarks on lip. Hallmarks include ‘S&BM’ lozenge marks, an anchor for Birmingham, a lion for sterling, and ‘M’ for 1911 There is an etched scroll design on the base and lid. The approximate weight is 0.510 ozt.
