An oil painting on canvas of a river landscape by Dutch artist De Haan (b. 1943). This work features a curving riverbank populated with flowering foliage. A dirt path recedes into the background where some quaint town structures are lined along the bank. A large cloudy gray sky occupies the majority of the composition. The painting is illegibly signed to the lower left. A descriptive label and a short bio of the artist from W.T. Burger Company are present to the verso. The painting is presented in a distressed white wood frame with gold-tone accents and carved foliate motifs.
Condition
- some wear in frame includes paint loss, small chips especially visible at corners, scratches, and discoloration throughout.
