A 1928 original wooblock print by listed Cincinnati artist Benjamin Miller (1877-1964). This piece features a nude woman, standng before a heavy black drape with the night sky visible through the window to the left. She is shielding her eyes with her arm as she grips a recently decapitated male head in her left hand. It is signed and dated in graphite to the lower right margin. Presented behind a white mat, under glass in a simple stained wood frame. A wire hanger is present to the verso.
Condition
- toning to print and mat. Accretions to mat and reverse of glass. Mat is buckled. Wear to finish of frame.
