A mixed media collage titled Love by Cincinnati artist Evelyn Marx (1901 – 1996). This highly textural collage, created with cut paper, fabric and linoleum tile, depicts five curly haired women in long dresses carrying signs. They are surrounded by ambigous animals, reminiscent of a dinasour, two lamas and a cat. A crowd observes the scene from the background. It is marked to the verso with the artist’s name. Presented in a brown and black wood frame with a beige linen liner. A wire hanger is present to the verso.

Condition

- several paper cut outs are curled and loose at edges. Stains to linen liner. Minor wear to frame.
