An oil painting on board of a waterfront landscape believed to be by listed artist Mary Cable Butler (1865-1946). This painterly rendering depicts the stony shore of an ocean, the water receding to the distance in atmospheric blue and gray. This piece is signed ‘Mary Butler’ to its lower right corner and is mounted in a black and gold tone frame with a wire for hanging to its verso.

- fair; dusty; slight wear to corners of frame; some yellowing to painting.
