A George Wharton Edwards matted and framed lithograph titled ‘The Old River Road.’ This impressional artwork was created by renown American artist George Wharton Edwards, who was born in Connecticut in 1859 and passed away in 1950. This artwork presents pastel colors of pinks, mauves, blues, greens, and golds creating a realistic landscape of an east coast village depicting quaint homes perched atop a body of water. In the distance, there is a boat nestled on the river’s coastline. The artwork has a replica signature of George Wharton Edwards in its lower left-hand corner. Professionally matted and framed, this lithograph has a metal wire on the backside for mounting purposes.
Condition
There are a few nicks in the brown wood frame. The colors are bold and vivid, exhibiting little or no fading. The protective paper cardboard backing is retained on the backside.
