Antique Schoenau-Huttensteinach Hand-Painted "Imari" Porcelain Platter

Item Details

An antique Schoenau-Huttensteinach porcelain Imari platter. This late 19th century platter has an oval body with a slightly scalloped edges. It features a hand-painted floral design the the center and edges in a traditional blue and rust palette. There are additional scroll gold tone details to the center, as well as vein details to the leaves and outlines to the flowers around the edges. The underside is marked with an unidentified maker’s mark representing a two blue crossed lines with an ‘H’ to one side and a number seven to the other.

Condition

- large chip in rim; some loss of gold tone paint.
