Circa 1930s Philco 570 Grandfather Clock Radio

Item Details

A Philco Chippendale style grandfather clock, model 570, first issued in 1931. Features include a mahogany finish with bird’s-eye maple veneer, and a broken arch pediment with turned finial. The face has black Arabic numerals with small flowers painted in the corners. There are fluted pilasters flanking the clock face and the base stands on bracket feet. The speakers are set in the body of the clock behind three arches backed with with speaker cloth. The Superheterodyne AM radio has three control dials.
