Limited Edition Guinea Fowl Sculptures from Knysna, South Africa
Item Details
A set of two South African hand-carved and hand-painted crested guinea fowl sculptures. The pieces depict stylized guinea fowl, painted with colorful accents to the heads and bodies. One is made from a slightly darker wood than the other, but both have similar painted features in a palette of golden yellow, teal, orange and black, with white dot patterns on the bodies. The undersides are marked ‘Crested Guinea Fowl 193 Kuifkop-Tarentaal – Hand Painted and Carved by Knysna Artists – Feathers of Knysna – Series 2’. One piece is numbered ‘785/975B’ and the other is numbered ‘780/975A’.
