A hand-knotted Pakistani Salor Bokhara area rug. The rug features a center panel with staggered Salor guls on a rust background, in a palette of black, orange, white and rust. The center panel is framed by multiple patterned borders with resolved corners. The two ends have wide borders with a small diamond pattern, and are finished with white fringe. No maker’s marks. The back side of the rug has a handwritten number along one edge ‘H 43141’.
