Antique Shaker Youth Rocking Chair with Woven Tape Seat and Back

Item Details

An antique Shaker youth rocking chair in maple with a dark finish. The petite chair has acorn finials, flat curvilinear arms with mushroom caps over turned urn supports. Both the seat and back have been re-furbished and decoratively woven in red and taupe fabric. The chair has a double box stretcher and the leg supports are split at the rails with peg construction.

• The chair is being sold to benefit the Warren County Historical Museum.

- the finish is alligatored
- one acorn finial has been repaired
