Collection of Antique Daguerreotype Photographs

A collection of three daguerreotype photographs, circa mid 19th-century. Included is a three-quarter lengths portrait of a child and two bust-length portraits of men. Each piece is housed in a leather case with glass and gold-tone metal frame details. The largest daguerreotype has the most elaborate metal details with an oval frame decorated with blooming flowers and foliates.
Condition
- fair; none of the pieces have the lid to their cases; varying levels of silvering to each photograph; varying amounts of edge wear to the leather cases; the larger photograph’s case is coming loose along the lower edge; some patina to the metal details surrounding the photographs.
