An oil painting on canvas by American artist Sally Patton. The still life piece depicts a glass vase filled with yellow and brown wildflowers and green leaves. The vase rests adjacent to a small pear and is set against a mottled yellow, green and grey background. The work is signed ‘Patton’ in red paint to the lower left, with the artist’s full name written to the verso of one of the stretcher bars. The painting is protected under a layer of varnish and presented without glass in a gold tone wooden frame embellished with gesso foliate motifs to the edges, and fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- edge wear to frame with cracks to gesso; slightly dusty; no backing paper present.
