An East Asian watercolor and ink wash painting on silk. The piece depicts two robed figures sitting on a balcony in a mountain landscape setting accented with lush trees and greenery. The work includes calligraphy in black ink to the upper left. It is triple-matted and presented under glass in a gold tone bamboo-motif wooden and gesso frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- slight toning to silk and matting; scratch to mat at center left; minor wear and nicks to frame.
