Vintage Carlton Ware "Walking Ware" Tea Serveware
Item Details
A selection of vintage Carlton Ware tea serveware in the ‘Walking Ware’ pattern. This group includes a pair of teapots, lidded creamer and sugar bowl, and cup. Each piece features a whimsical base molded in the shape of two mary jane clad feet, complete with patterned socks. They are finished with a gloss ivory glaze throughout and bear a mark to the underside: ‘© Carlton Ware England, Lustre Pottery, 1973.’ For a selection of coordinating items, see 17NYC092-222.
Condition
- crazing to surfaces throughout; minor marks and gentle wear; one teapot is missing a lid.
