Contemporary to Vintage Buddha Figurines, Including Alexander Backer
Item Details
A grouping of three contemporary to vintage Buddha figuines. The group includes an orange chalkware happy Buddha by Alexander Backer. The Buddha is seated with gold and turquoise colored beads in his right hand, with his left hand clutching a bag of money and blessings. He sits atop a black carved base. The bask is marked ‘Alexander Backer Co., Inc.’ and dates to the 1950s. The group also includes a spelter incense burner with a bronze finish and a wood candle holder Buddha holding a lotus flower. The metal and wood pieces are unmarked.
