Item Details
A silver gilt paten used for the rite of Holy Communion. The paten is made of gold plated sterling silver and is engraved with a crown of thorn design surrounding a cross with the letters, ‘IHS’ representing the Christogram meaning In hoc signo. The paten would have been used to hold consecrated bread for Communion. The paten has a weight of 3.82 ozt.
