An original signed ink and watercolor illustration on paperboard with applied acrylic halftone accents by very well-listed American illustrator Sam Norkin (New York, 1917 – 2011), best-known for his theater sketches, titled Mrs. Warren’s Profession. This piece depicts a wide scene from the play where several figures stand near a well chatting. The piece is signed to the lower left. It is titled, dated Sunday Feb. 22 1976, and each actor is labeled in graphite to the lower margin. The work is presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation. Norkin had thousands of illustrations published in the New York Daily News, New York Herald Tribune, Boston Globe, Washington Post, and countless other publications.
