Ink Wash
An original signed ink drawing on fine Strathmore wove paper by very well-listed American illustrator Sam Norkin (New York, 1917 – 2011), best-known for his theater sketches. This piece depicts a large man raising a hand tool high above his hand as he scowls in anger. A large box covered with advertisements with an armchair on top stands behind him, and a woman carrying a plate of food cowers at his side. The piece is signed to the lower left. The work is presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation. Norkin had thousands of illustrations published in the New York Daily News, New York Herald Tribune, Boston Globe, Washington Post, and countless other publications.
