An antique Victorian carved mahogany fire screen with an embroidered, swiveling panel, circa 1890s. The frame features a carved and pierced panels at the top and bottom with scrolled foliate motifs and a green man. Directly below is an embroidered panel depicting a deer and a bird within a landscape, which swivels between a pair of twisted columns. The screen rises on four cabriole legs ending in ball-and-claw feet. It is further embellished with pineapple finials.
