Scenic Serigraphs After Jean Hugo Including "Place du Tertre" and "Seascape"

A set of four serigraphs on paper after French painter and illustrator Jean Hugo (1894-1984). Two of these prints have the titles Place du Tertre and Seascape printed in the lower margin, as well as the artist’s name and publisher’s information. The prints depict a couple walking in a garden, a group of four people on horseback riding on a path lined by tall trees, a city street in which people are seated at cafe tables, and a seascape depicting a cove with a cottage on the shore and lighthouse at the point. All prints are presented behind mats.
Condition
- significant toning and wear to mats but only slight toning to margins of prints; foxing to prints and mats; stains and edge wear to mats.
Dimensions
- measures each mat; each visible image measures 8.75" W x 7.5" H.
