A reproduction print titled Stratford-on-Avon after an engraving by James Duthie (mid 19th century) of an original piece by James Fairman (1826-1904). This print depicts the town of Shakespeare’s birth, featuring a pond near which children play, a dog runs, and cows graze and wade in the water. A church is visible on the other side of an open field, and the sky above is clear and blue. It is titled and captioned to the lower center margin, with the artist and engraver’s names printed to the lower corners. It is additionally signed in plate by James Fairman. A label to the verso also states the title and artists. It is presented in a gilt wood frame and wired for hanging.
