A mixed media artwork titled Pirate Ship by artist, John M. Parton. This work features a sailing ship made of intricately woven copper wire and a wooden hull, stained with a walnut colored finish. Affixed to the lower left corner is a silver tone plate that is signed by the artist, titled, and dated ‘1971’. This work is mounted on leather and presented without glass in a wooden frame with hanging hardware to the verso. This work is signed and dated by hand to the verso.
Condition
- some copper wires are coming undone from nails; residue; slightly dusty; minor surface wear and scratches to ship’s wooden base; wear throughout frame’s finish; paint residue to the verso; loose frame joints.
