A pair of lithographic illustrations of courtroom scenes, titled The Point Is — and The Interpreter, by listed artist William Sharp (1900-1961). These pieces depict lively action, including a group of men arguing over a pencil, and a man attempting to explain something to a woman in the witness stand, a confused expression on her face. Both prints are titled and signed in plate toward their lower edges, and mounted under glass in brown and gold tone wooden frames with hanging hardware tho their versos.
Condition
- toning and foxing marks to prints; nicks and wear to frames particularly to gold tone finish; both prints somewhat loose in frames; joints loose to one frame.
