A 1973 watercolor and ink painting on paper by listed Illinois artist Carl H. Johnson (20th-21st centuries). The piece depicts an early winter landscape scene with a rustic Midwestern red barn set against bare trees, overcast skies and patchy snow. The work is signed and dated in graphite to the lower left. It is matted in off-white and presented under glass in a beveled wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- slight warping to paper inside frame; slight toning to paper and matting; minor wear, abrasions and scattered stains to frame.
