Vintage Wood Cased Grandfather Clock

Item Details

A vintage grandfather clock in a wormy chestnut wood case. The piece features a slender, rectangular wooden case with crown molding top, a top clock cabinet, a cabinet for weights and pendulum to its midsection, and bracket feet to its base. The clock itself features ornate figural brass framing, depicting two peacocks and foliage, over a circular white clock face with black Roman numeral hour markers. The case features hand-painted floral decoration to midsection and base, and is marked ‘1432’ in black to its backside.

Condition

Fair. Winds but no key provided. Paint shows wear on wood, some scratches. Appears to be handmade.
