An original oil painting on canvas by listed Swiss-American painter Rudolph Joseph Eicher (1884 – 1958). The painting depicts a dense forest painted in pale shades of green, blue, orange, and brown. The trees line a winding river that reflects the foliage. The painting is signed in pale gray to the lower right. It is presented in a wooden frame with cast foliage surface embellishments, seamless corners, gold-tone finish, and a hanging wire attached to the verso.
Condition
- light accretion across surface of painting. Canvas is slightly creased to edges where stretcher bars seem to have rubbed. Cracking and light loss of finish across frame.
