David Catrow, a Springfield, Ohio native, is primarily a writer and illustrator for children’s books, has been on the New York Best Sellers List, and continues to work in the film industry, previously working on hits as Despicable Me and Stuart Little. The watercolor depicts a bustling downtown, in a snowy scene, with a young girl offering her bottle to a horse by her side. Th e artist has signed the piece in ink to lower right, dated 1997. The watercolor is presented behind glass, with triple matting in white, purple, and green, with a wood frame.
