An original oil painting on canvas by contemporary Cincinnati-based artist Trey Hoover (born 1983), titled Sleeves. This non-objective work depicts a study of color, form, and texture presented as a series of abstracted forms. Muted shades of mint, goldenrod, white, and coral contrast against deeply-saturated black, blue, and red forms. The shapes move from simple and stark in the upper left corner to more complexly organic as the viewer’s eye moves downwards. The painting is signed and dated to the verso.
