A collection of color lithograph reproduction maps from the Decorative Old Maps collection. This collection was published by Penn Prints of New York and includes six prints of maps from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. Includes Map of Asia by the Famous Blaeu Family originally from 1662, Canada and the Great Lakes by Guillaume de L’Isle originally from 1720, Map of Europe from the Mercator Hondius Atlas, 1663, with Portion of America in Upper Left, 17th Century Global Map by N. Visscher, with California Depicted as an Island, New Belgium, New England, and Virginia, by N. Visscher. Date Unknown, but Prior to 1682, and The Holy Land, from Abraham Ortelius’s ‘Theatrum Orbis Terrarum’, 1570.
Condition
- prints are in good condition, portfolio sleeve is in fair condition; sleeve has several water stains and tears in the creases; prints only have minor wear to the corners.
