Early 19th-Century Fruitwood Bookshelf Cabinet With Rosewood Inlaid

An early 19th century, Continental, inlaid fruitwood bookshelf cabinet. The piece is constructed as one unit, having three graduated shelves with serpentine edge, veneered in rosewood, above a cabinet based, having two doors with a centered Maltese cross, within a scrolled inlaid panel, surrounded by an inlaid border, all in rosewood. The sides feature an inlaid profile border. The original back displays drawl-knife marks and has two affixed, wall mount brackets. Circa 1830.
