A signed David T. Smith Turtle Creek Pottery Redware charger. This reproduction Staffordshire style charger is decorated with yellow slip depicting Ralph Simpson, who was an English Potter in the 17th century, circa 1690. The charger was executed with a lead glaze which emphasizes the color and slip designs of the piece. The charger was made by the workshops of David T. Smith, Turtle Creek Potters, who are known for their reproductions of 18th and 19tht of pottery. The charger is an authentic reproduction of a piece in the Victoria and Albert Museum in England. The piece is signed on the underside.
