A 1984 limited edition bronze sculpture by Erté (Russian, 1892-1990), titled Justice. Roman De Tirtoff, known by the pseudonym Erte, is a Russian-born French designer who flourished in many fields including set design, fashion, and the graphic arts, spanning most of the 20th century. The bronze depicts a female figure wearing black and gold robes, seated on a stack of books. She holds the scales of justice and a scepter. The sculpture is numbered 498 from an edition of 500, manufactured by Art Renaissance, and stamped with Erté’s signature in-mold. This work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
