Pair of Chinese Madonna and Child Watercolor Paintings on Silk
Item Details
A pair of antique Chinese watercolor paintings on silk. Each depicts a Madonna and child tableau in a serene outdoor landscape accented by bamboo trees and whimsical clouds. Both figures present with soft halos around their heads. The pieces are hand signed to the corners with a red seal to the lower right. They present in red bamboo style frames with mounting wire to the verso.
Condition
- one piece shows significant water damage/staining.
- wear and scratches to frames; backing paper is torn.
