A signed oil painting on canvas titled Dutch Vessel in a Strong Breeze by
Simon Timmerman (British, 20th century). Signed by hand to the lower right, the painting depicts a pair of boats, one with large white sails, navigating the rough waves of the ocean under a dark cloudy sky. The painting is presented in a gesso and wood frame with an elaborate raised floral design and a gold tone plaque to the lower middle with the title of the painting. A wire for hanging purposes and a decal with the title of the painting are present to the verso.
