Korean Elm Chest with Brass Hardware

Item Details

A Korean chest in figured elm and ornate engraved brass hardware. The framed top is over four small drawers with brass bail pulls, above four framed doors. The center two doors feature a butterfly latch, opening to an interior cabinet with a small drawer and flanked by matching doors. Below is a cabinet with hinged door and medallion latch, which falls forward when opened. The case rests on cloud carved feet. Early 20th century.
