Nichols and Stone Hitchcock Style Stenciled Chairs

Item Details

A pair of matching Nichols and Stone Hitchcock style stenciled hardwood chairs. Painted yellow with contrasting stained hardwood seat. Spindle back with rabbit ears to the side supports and faux bamboo ring turned legs. The back of the seat is stenciled with fruit theme. These chairs are incised with maker’s mark and also include an attached maker’s sticker to each.

Condition

Fair to good. These are both sturdy, well constructed chairs. There are some deep nicks to the sides of each chair and to the back near the bottom of the spindles to one. One spindle may need re-enforced.
